Essar Power on Friday announced that it has completed 60 MW first phase of the 120 MW Paradip power plant. With this development, the company’s installed capacity now stands at 4,705 MW, the company said in a media statement.
The 120- MW imported coal-based power plant at Paradip, Odisha, is being by developed by Essar Power Orissa Ltd, which is a subsidiary of Essar Power. The power plant is being set up as a captive plant to meet the requirements of Essar Steel India’s 12 million tonne pellet facility in Odisha.
