Dubai-headquartered Essar Projects Ltd (EPL), an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) company, has won a construction project worth $50 million in Papua New Guinea.
This is Essar Projects’ sixth international contract won this year and the second by the company in Papua New Guinea. With this project, the company’s order book position has increased to more than $4 billion, EPL said in a statement.
The company would design, construct and commission the proposed mixed use development project, including construction of an office complex. The complex would house the Governor’s Office, a residential building for diplomats, ministers and high profile professionals.
The project would be completed in 22 months.
Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea Peter Charles Paire O'Neill will inaugurate the project next month, it said.
