Dubai-headquartered Essar Projects Ltd, an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) company, has secured two orders worth $90 million in Abu Dhabi. With these orders, the company’s order book has increased to more than $3.5 billion.
The orders were from Abu Dhabi Polymers Ltd (Borouge) and Abu Dhabi Gas Industries Ltd (GASCO), the company said in a statement.
Borouge’s is an EPC contract of process equipment, associated pipelines and control systems for PE Color Grade Compounding Plant in Ruwais. The project has to be completed within 22 months.
The second order worth $55 million from GASCO and involves engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning of 24 inches x 110 km condensate pipeline from Habshan to Ruwais in Abu Dhabi. The project has to be completed in 26 months.
With this, Essar Projects has won about five projects in Abu Dhabi in recent times amounting to $170 million, helping the company augment its presence in the West Asian market.
Of these five projects, three have been directly awarded on EPC basis to Essar Projects.
