Eureka Forbes has partnered with the US-based Water Security Corporation to launch a water purification system called the Aquasure Galaxy.
The company said the product was developed in collaboration with the US-based Water Security Corporation. The product is certified by the US EPA (Environment Protection Agency).
Announcing the product, Mr Aslam Karmali, Chief Executive Officer, Consumer Division, Eureka Forbes, said the company was optimistic about selling 1 lakh units in the first year. The product is priced at Rs 2,199 and the replacement cartridge costs Rs 650 and can filter around 3,000 litres, which according to company officials, will meet the requirements of an average family for one year.
Comparing the Galaxy with the Amrit, another water purification system from the same company which costs Rs 1,955, Dr Raman Venkatesh, Senior Vice-President for Technology, said that while Amrit was targeted at cities, Galaxy is suitable for both urban and rural areas.
