The Visakhapatnam Steel Plant of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd (RINL) should try hard to penetrate into rural markets, according to Joint Secretary (Steel) Ruchika Chaudhry.
RINL should take advantage of the Centre’s huge infrastructure push, such as in the construction of national highways, rails and housing projects, she added.
The company should expand its brand image across the country and play a vital role as a long steel producer, she further said.
The Joint Secretary also commended RINL for its various green initiatives.
During her maiden visit to the steel plant here, Chaudhry held discussions with senior officials led by Chairman and Managing Director P Madhusudan.
