Overcoming a slew of adversities, the public sector FACT has performed well with production and sales surpassing its targets in the first quarter of the current fiscal.
Factamfos production registered 1,34,822 tonnes against the target of 1,15,000 tonnes. Likewise, the sale of this fertiliser also gathered momentum with 1,40,525 tonnes being sold out during April-June 2015.
Ammonium Sulphate, the second major fertiliser from FACT, also performed well with a quarterly production of 24,079 tonnes and a sale of 28,643 tonnes. The bulk gypsum sales for the quarter was 1,11,498 tonnes.
During the month of June, the company registered a record production of Factamfos at 72,590 tonnes and a sale of 80,241 tonnes against a target of 65,000 tonnes. It is for the first time after October 2013 that monthly Factamfos production crosses the 72,000 tonne mark. The monthly Factamfos sale of 80,241 tonnes is a record in the last 4 years, a press release said.
