Fiat’s latest version of the popular 500L hauler, the upsized seven-seater 500L Living, goes on sale in Europe this autumn.
The name hints at the lifestyle market being aimed at by the new, swollen Cinquecento which is 20 centimetres longer than the standard 500L.
The 500L Living can be supplied with a third row of seats to be squeezed into the luggage area — hence the Fiat designation of this car as a 5+2. The maker says that if you take them out again and fold down the second row of seats flat, the luggage volume goes up to 638 litres, 238 litres more than the five-seat 500L offers.
The range of engines on offer matches the specification of the regular 500L. Petrol units include two rated at 95 and 105 horsepower alongside a pair of frugal diesels.
Fiat is offering the car in Europe in two trim levels called Pop Star and Lounge, both with 5 or 7 seats. The 500L Living is being assembled alongside the regular 500L at the Kragujevac plant in Serbia.
