Finolex Industries today reported almost three-fold jump in standalone net profit at Rs 78.47 crore for the March quarter.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 27.68 crore in the January-March period of 2014-15 fiscal.
Its net sales rose 2.87 per cent to Rs 799.22 crore in the said period as against Rs 776.86 crore in the same period a year ago, Finolex Industries said in a BSE filing.
During the quarter, the company’s overall expenses stood at Rs 706.81 crore, down 3.24 per cent from the corresponding period of the preceding fiscal.
In the entire fiscal, its net profit rose to Rs 233.59 crore as against Rs 47.77 crore in the 2014-15 fiscal.
Net sales stood at Rs 2,430.33 crore during the 2015-16 fiscal compared with Rs 2,451.7 crore in the previous fiscal.
