Arun Firodia, Chairman, Kinetic Group has penned `Innovation On two Wheels’, a book that traces his journey from the 70s.

This was when he returned to India from MIT in Boston to head a project to make a new, affordable two-wheeler as a personal transport vehicle for common man.

The book is replete with stories of the Luna, the Kinetic Honda and various other products that Firodia dreamt of and brought to life.

“Innovation isn’t inborn. It needs to be cultivated. As an entrepreneur, you need to have a vision that goes beyond horizons and an ear to the ground to ensure that your business is running smooth,” Firodia said.

Pointing out that several factors determined the success of a venture, he said, “It’s important that you start off well. You should have clear plans for the present and a vision for the future. Add hard work to that and you have a formula for success.”

As luck and timing play an important role in the success an enterprise, he urged entrepreneurs to always be looking for opportunities and seize the moment, concluding, “This is what I have tried to highlight in my book.”
