Ford has launched a new top-end ‘Titanium’ variant of the Classic sedan. Prices start at Rs 6.86 lakh for the petrol model and Rs 7.82 lakh for the diesel.

The Ford Classic is the previous generation Fiesta, which saw its brand name being changed to avoid confusion with the new Fiesta model (launched exactly a year ago).

The new variant sports a Bluetooth-equipped stereo system with speed-sensing volume controls, apart from  a new beige interior trim giving a light and airy feeling to the cabin. New alloy wheels designs are also on offer, along with body-coloured rear-view mirrors and a new black front grille.

The Classic range competes with models such as the Maruti Swift Dzire, Toyota Etios, Chevrolet Aveo and the Hyundai Accent.

The engines remain the same — 1.6 litre Duratec petrol engine, which claims a fuel efficiency of 21.27 kmpl and 1.4 litre TDCi Duratorq diesel engine which promises fuel efficiency of 32.38 kmpl.
