Car-maker Ford India today posted a 22.18 per cent decline in total sales at 8,323 units in July.
The company had sold 10,696 units in the same month last year, Ford India said in a statement.
Ford’s domestic sales declined by 16.89 per cent to 6,236 units in the month from 7,504 units in July 2011, it added.
Its overseas shipments fell by 34.61 per cent to 2,087 units from 3,192 units in the same month last year.
“With consumer confidence yet to recover from the effects of a recent hike in petrol prices, ongoing high interest rates and high inflation, the challenging market conditions continue unabated in India’s auto market,” the company said.
