The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has in its 24-hour outlook issued yesterday had sounded the all-clear for the Subrata Roy Sahara stadium in Pune for today’s IPL crcket match.
Pune would see the confluence of dry continental northwesterly winds from across the border and moisture-laden easterlies from the Bay of Bengal. The resultant unstable conditions may set up partly cloudy skies, capping the mercury level around the region.
Humidity conditions are expected to be low to moderate since the easterlies would have lost most of their punch blowing some distance across dry hinterland.
