Germany-based Freudenberg Groups plans to invest Rs 130 crore in its chemical specialities plant at Mysore by 2016.
The plant manufactures speciality lubricants, release agents and maintenance products for auto, energy and food industries under the brand names Kluber Lubrication, Chem-Trend and OKS.
This investment would be for expansion of capacity from 3,000 tonnes per annum to 20,000 tonnes per annum, said Mr Viju Parameshwar, President and Chief Executive Officer, Kluber Lubrication India Pvt Ltd.
Freudenberg is also investing about Rs 20 crore in EagleBurgmann Pvt Ltd, another group company. This will be to expand capacity and build a new R&D centre at Pune.
Freudenberg operates through ten group companies in India, employing close to 3,000 people across 11 locations.
