Gujarat Alkalies & Chemicals Ltd (GACL) has registered net profit of ₹106.39 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2017, up 21.7 per cent from ₹87.42 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago.
The company achieved net sales of ₹589.23 crore for the quarter against ₹518.45 crore in the same quarter a year ago, showing an increase of 13.65 per cent. For the first-half period April-September, the company's net profit stood at ₹201.75 crore against ₹173.68 crore in the corresponding quarter, up 16.16 per cent. Net sales for the first-half period stood at ₹1,121.50 crore, up 8.48 per cent against ₹1,033.83 crore in the corresponding period last year.
