Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Ltd(GACL) on Tuesday said its net profit increased by 78% and sales by 15% in the second quarter ended September 30, as compared to the corresponding period last fiscal.
While the sales were at Rs 480 crore (Rs 417 crore), PAT stood at Rs 66 crore (Rs 37 crore) despite competitive market conditions, said M S Dagur, Managing Director, in a statement.
On Tuesday, GACL’s share price closed 0.19% up at Rs 134.30 at the BSE.
