Gamesa Wind Turbines Pvt Ltd has bagged an order from ReNew Wind Energy to commission 74.65 MW of wind turbines in Maharashtra.
The wind turbine manufacturer, an Indian subsidiary of Gamesa of Spain, will supply 50 MW of G97— 2.0 MW machines and 24.65 MW of G58 — 850 kW machines, said a press release from Gamesa.
ReNew Wind is a subsidiary of ReNew Power Ventures Pvt Ltd, an independent power producer (IPP).
Gamesa Wind Turbines has seen orders from IPPs increase over the last one year. The ReNew Power order issued on July 11, will be completed in the current financial year. The G97 — 2.0 MW machines are designed for low wind sites.
