Gamesa Wind Turbines has bagged a 46 MW order to supply wind mills to ITC Paperboards in Andhra Pradesh.
According to a press release from Gamesa, the wind turbine manufacturer will supply 23 G97-2.0 MW turbines to ITC Paperboards and Specialty Papers Division, at Tagguparthi, Andhra Pradesh.
The project will be commissioned in the first quarter of 2014. Gamesa will handle the entire operations including site development, supply, commissioning and operation and maintenance.
Foothold in AP
The Chairman and Managing Director of Gamesa India, Ramesh Kymal, said: “With this business deal, Gamesa India acquires a strong foothold in Andhra Pradesh.”
Recently, Gamesa India had also acquired two major orders from Greenko and CLP India, totalling 230MW, with the option of supplying an additional 200 MW to Greenko.
