Gayatri Projects has posted a profit of ₹32.23 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, as against ₹28.50 crore for the corresponding quarter last year, on a standalone basis.

The Hyderabad-based construction and infrastructure company registered a total income of ₹815.62 crore for the fourth quarter, as against ₹668.30 crore last year.

For the financial year ended March 31, the company posted a profit of ₹74.36 crore and an income of ₹2,128.22 crore as against ₹58.64 crore and ₹1,818.81 crore, respectively.

The board recommended a dividend at 25 per cent (50 paise per equity share of ₹2 each).

The company’s shares were split from ₹10 per share to ₹2 per share with effect from February 10, 2017. In March 2016, the company had entered into an agreement to sell its wind power business.

On a consolidated basis, the company posted a loss of ₹98.36 crore and an income of ₹2,300.82 crore as against a loss of ₹46.43 crore and an income of ₹1,745.62 crore for the previous fiscal.

The firm announced it has completed acquisition of 5,20,833 shares of Gayatri Infra Ventures from AMP Capital Mauritius. With this acquisition, Gayatri Infra Ventures has become a wholly owned subsidiary of the company.

Gayatri Projects closed the day at ₹151, down 1.15 per cent at BSE.
