Gayatri Projects Ltd (GPL) has reported a net profit of Rs 18.29 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, a growth of 3.18 per cent over Rs 17.72 crore it logged for the corresponding quarter last year.
The revenue for the quarter was up 17.11 per cent at Rs 449.5 crore for the third quarter this year as against Rs 383.79 crore for the corresponding period last fiscal.
Revenue for the nine-month period ended December 31 was Rs 1,172.55 crore, an increase of 16.45 per cent over Rs 1,006.87 crore of the corresponding period last fiscal.
Earnings per share (EPS) increased by 2.21 per cent to Rs 15.26 (Rs 14.93).
Mr Sandeep Kumar Reddy, Managing Director, Gayatri Projects, in a statement said “the company is positioned comfortably in view of the increased spending on infrastructure sector and thrust on private partnership to speed up infrastructure sector. We are hopeful of a better performance in the coming quarters.”
The Hyderabad-based construction and infrastructure company has an order book of Rs 9,500 crore.
The company shares closed the day up 10.15 per cent at Rs 148.10.
