Gayatri Projects Ltd has reported a net profit of Rs 16.73 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2011 a growth of 11.05 per cent over Rs 15.06 crore for the corresponding quarter last year.
Revenue for the first quarter was up 17.17 per cent at Rs 401.43 crore against Rs 342.59 crore for the corresponding quarter last year.
The Hyderabad-based construction and infrastructure company in a statement to the stock exchanges stated that the earnings per share registered 8.52 per cent at Rs 11.08 against Rs 10.21 in the corresponding quarter a year-ago period.
Mr Sandeep Kumar Reddy, Managing Director of Gayatri Projects, said the company maintains a positive outlook on the business prospects in the coming quarters.
The company shares closed the day’s trade at Rs 190 against the previous close of Rs 189.95.
