Gayatri Projects Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 12.92 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2012 against Rs 13.36 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
The Hyderabad-based company recorded sales income of Rs 419.59 crore against Rs 321.64 crore. Revenues stood at Rs 718.51 crore (Rs 634.06 crore).
During the quarter, the company had a foreign exchange gain of Rs 7.48 crore from the process of completing the foreign currency convertible bond (FCCB) transaction. It said that it has fully discharged its FCCB bond obligation last month.
In the first half ended September 30, 2012, the company registered a net profit of Rs 20.95 crore against Rs 30.09 crore in the year-ago period.
