General Motors India on Monday reported 10.71 per cent decline in sales at 6,575 units in June 2013.
The company had sold 7,364 units in the same month of 2012, GM India said in a statement.
Last month’s sales include 2,081 units of Beat, 1,507 units of Sail, 2,578 units of Enjoy, it added.
GM India Vice—President P Balendran said: “Although we have generated volumes for Chevrolet Enjoy and Beat as expected, the overall numbers inclusive of other models were not on the expected lines as we had temporarily stopped production of Tavera BS—III and Diesel versions of Sail HB & NB in the month of June.
“The market also continues to remain subdued due to high fuel prices, high interest rates and various other structural bottlenecks and macroeconomic uncertainties.”
