GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare on Wednesday reported a 29.3 percent rise in net profit at Rs 106.60 crore for the second quarter ended June, up from Rs 82.46 crore a year ago.
In a statement, the maker of Horlicks, Boost, Maltova, Eno, Crocin, and Iodex said its sales during the period under review stood at Rs 729.73 crore (Rs 653.38 crore).
“We have shown consistent double—digits growth over the years and the results of this quarter are also in—line with our strong performance. Focus on innovation and leveraging science to develop products, cost efficiency initiatives and increased penetration across categories have helped us deliver superior results in a challenging business environment,” said Zubair Ahmed, Managing Director, GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare.
