Glenmark, the leading global integrated pharmaceutical company observed World Heart Day in Kochi on Sunday. To commemorate World Heart Day, Glenmark organised a slew of activities including free cardiovascular disease check-up camp, awareness seminars and a Doctor-Patient Rally.
The health check-up camp at Lions Community Hall, Kadavanthara, witnessed participation from over 200 people. Free consultation and tests were done for blood sugar and blood pressure under the supervision of Dr Shaji C.S., Clinical Cardiologist, Maharaja's Government Hospital, Karivelpady. Free starter samples of blood pressure and cholesterol management medicines were also provided to those identified with disease conditions.
Dr Shaji addressed the gathering on the importance of a healthy lifestyle and dietary balance to prevent any heart ailments. The rally was aimed at creating community awareness on the risk factors leading to heart diseases and the importance of leading a balanced lifestyle for a healthy heart.
