General Motors India’s ‘Spark’ compact car was today declared the “Most Dependable Compact Car” and “Best Compact Car in Initial Quality 2010” under JD Power & Associate’s India Automotive Quality Study and Vehicle Dependability Study for 2010.
This is the fourth consecutive year that GM India has bagged the awards.
Besides the Chevrolet Spark, General Motors’ Chevrolet Aveo U-VA hatchback also won the JD Power Award for the “Most Dependable Car” in the premium compact car segment, a company statement here said.
“These prestigious wins from JD Power clearly reiterate that Chevrolet has become the preferred automobile brand in terms of quality, dependability and customer delight... We will continue to leverage the momentum gained thus far and build on the inherent strengths of our products in future also...,” the General Motors India Vice-President, Mr P. Balendran, said.
General Motors India currently retails Chevrolet Captiva, Optra, Cruze, Aveo, Aveo U-VA, Spark, Beat and Tavera. It has two latest manufacturing facilities at Halol in Gujarat and Talegaon in Maharashtra.
