General Motors India has appointed Rajesh Singh as the new Vice President-Sales, Marketing and Aftersales, who will take office from January 1.
He will be responsible for the complete vehicle sales, servicing and marketing (VSSM) function of GM India, the company said in a statement today.
He will replace Ashwani Muppasani who had assumed the VSSM leadership role on an interim basis in August. Muppasani will move on to a new role in GM, which will be announced in near future.
Singh has over 20 years of experience in VSSM. He began his career with Maruti in 1992 and has held various sales, marketing and network development positions at regional and national levels for Maruti.
Earlier this year, he joined Havells India as Senior Vice President-Sales and Marketing.
“We are confident that Rajesh, with his wealth of experience in the field of vehicle sales, service and marketing, will accelerate GM’s emergence as a significant volume player in Indian market,” Lowell Paddock, President and Managing Director, GM India, said.
