General Motors (GM) India on Thursday launched the Chevrolet ‘Enjoy’ multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) at prices ranging from Rs 5.49 lakh to Rs 6.99 lakh for the 1.4 litre petrol version.
The diesel (1.3 litre) variant is priced between Rs 6.69 lakh and 7.99 lakh (all ex-showroom, Delhi).
With ‘Flexi-Smart’ seven- or eight-occupant seating variants, it addresses the need for a spacious MPV for family travel and business use, the company said.
“GM India achieved localisation at the start of regular production of the Enjoy, which is unprecedented for a global vehicle manufactured in India,” Lowell Paddock, President and Managing Director, GM India said.
This is significant not only for the local economy, but will also benefit buyers through lower cost of ownership as a result of lower parts prices and the ready availability of spare parts, he said.
