GMR Infrastructure Ltd has posted a loss of ₹379.38 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2015, against a loss of ₹638.33 crore for the corresponding quarter last year, on a consolidated basis.
The diversified infrastructure company has registered a consolidated total income of ₹3564.25 crore for the third quarter (₹2761.30 crore).
According to the company, the resolution of regulatory bottlenecks and improved performance of its power plants and growth in traffic at its airports have helped bring down losses.
The EBIDTA has doubled to ₹1,399 crore for the quarter up from ₹671 crore in the corresponding quarter last year and the EBITA for the nine months improved by 68 per cent to ₹3,154 crore from ₹1,874 crore.
Cash profit improves The cash profit for the quarter improved to ₹248 crore from loss of ₹205 crore and for nine months, the cash profit has improved to ₹442 crore from a loss of ₹609 crore.
The company’s energy sector and airports sector have seen improved performance.
During the third quarter, GMR Infrastructure raised $300 million from the Kuwait Investment Authority. It also managed to operationalise 1156 MW of power generation capacity with fuel supplies.
