Gokul Refoils & Solvent Ltd (GRSL), leading edible oil maker, today reported a 61 per cent rise in net sales and 45 per cent in net profit in the financial year ended March 31, 2011, compared with the corresponding period last fiscal, the company said today. While the sales were Rs 4536.2 crore (Rs 2818.6 crore), the net profit was Rs 61.7 crore (Rs 42.6 crore).
On Monday, Gokul Refoil's share price on the BSE closed 0.86 per cent up at Rs 99.50. In the fourth quarter of 2010-11, net sales increased 35 per cent to Rs 1154.1 crore (Rs 857.4 crore), while net profit increased 26 per cent to Rs 10.2 crore (Rs 8 crore). During the year under review, the company increased its production capacity from 19.14 lakh tonnes (lt) to 23.94 lt per annum and commenced production at its Sidhpur plant with a daily capacity of 500 tonnes.
