The Coal Ministry has invited expression of interest (EoI) for providing consultancy for restructuring of Coal India Limited (CIL), it said in a statement.
The objective is to examine various issues for restructuring of CIL such as examining the recommendations of various Committees and the planning Commission regarding the need for restructuring and to assess the effectiveness of the current management structure, Government said.
The consultant would also have to assess the scope for improving competition amongst coal mining companies and outline scope for better investment plans for enhanced production with suitable administrative control.
