GreenPark Hotels & Resorts Ltd has opened Marigold — its first five-star luxury hotel in Hyderabad developed with an outlay of Rs 100 crore.
This marks the entry of the group into the luxury segment. The 181-rooms Marigold is located in Greenlands at Begumpet.
Mohan Krishna, Vice-President, Operations, GreenPark Group, said: “Marigold is uniquely positioned to cater to both the leisure and the MICE segments. We would like to use the inherent strengths of GreenPark to create an upscale experience at Marigold.’’
Built on 3.5 acres of land, the hotel is as an ideal location for guests to conduct business meetings and conferences, he said.
It features pan Asian food and cuisines from around the world. Saffron Soul is a World Cafe which serves authentic dishes from the kitchens of the world, ranging from Indian to Mexican to Continental.
Mekong is the fine dining Pan Asian Restaurant which serves authentic dishes from China, Burma, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam.
Peacock is a large convention ballroom that can seat up to 750 in a theatre arrangement.
GreenPark Hotels owns and operates business hotels in Hyderabad, Chennai and Visakhapatnam. It operates two hotels in upscale segment under brand names Marigold Hotels and AVASA Hotels, the latter being in the IT hub of Hyderabad.
The company aims to operate 1,000 rooms by 2014.
