Grundfos Pumps India Pvt Ltd has launched BMS hs AC (Booster Module System - High Speed - Alternative Current), a lightweight ultra-filtration booster module pump for the Indian market. It is the latest in the company's BM series of pumps, Saravanan Panneer Selvam, the company's COO - Sales, said at a press conference here on Monday.
According to the company, the product is energy-efficient and considerably reduces maintenance hassle and pump downtime. The booster pump is aimed at reverse osmosis and ultra-filtration applications in India. Its vital components that touch water are made of super duplex stainless steel and can withstand a maximum temperature of 60 degrees Celsius.
The product is expected to find usage in water treatment plants, chemical and galvanic industries, hospitals and laboratories, industries such as chemical, electronics, minerals and metals.
“We are certain that the demand for energy efficient and reliable pumps will help ensure the success of this product," said Panneer Selvam. It is designed to make about 35-45 per cent energy savings, as the residual water is used for recovery of energy, he added.
