Gujarat State Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd (GSFC) on Thursday announced commissioning of Fully Drawn Yarn (FDY) Unit at Fibre Unit, Kosamba near Surat.
The new FDY plant has an annual production capacity of 2,625 tonnes which would increase the company's turnover by Rs 70 crore, it said in a statement here.
"Under the present competitive market of Nylon Filament Yarn, GSFC will achieve new milestones with the production of newly installed FDY plant. Dr. S K Nanda, CMD of the company inaugurated the new unit.
In order to make Fibre Unit more profit making division, Nanda has consented for a new POY line with advance technology for the production of ‘Gujnyl’ so that production capacity and turnover of the same can be increased, the statement said.
Moreover it has also been decided to install High Speed Spinning Chips plant of 30,000 MTPA capacity at Kosamba. On execution of all these three schemes, the turnover of Fibre Unit will touch a high of Rs 1,000 crore, it said.
GSFC shares ended at Rs 65.25 on BOmbay STock Exchange (BSE) marginally down by 0.23 per cent from previous close.
