Gujarat State Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd (GSFC) has reported a 32 per cent decline in net profit and a 0.14 per cent increase in sales in the second quarter ended September 30, 2013 compared to the corresponding period last fiscal.
Net sales stood at Rs 1,418.02 crore (Rs 1,416.02 crore), while net profit stood at Rs 101.34 crore (Rs 150.46 crore), according to a company release here.
GSFC is also planning to expand its capacity in fertilisers and industrial product segments and exploring possibilities abroad to maintain reliable supply of basic raw materials like phosphoric acid and potash.
