State-run gas transmission company, Gujarat State Petronet Ltd (GSPL) has registered standalone net profit of Rs 85 crore for the first quarter ended June 2014 down by 32 per cent from Rs 126 crore reported in the same quarter previous year.
The company achieved net sales of Rs 230 crore for the quarter against Rs 296 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
According to company statement, during the quarter revenues from gas transportation segment were down by 23 per cent to Rs 218 crore against Rs 284 crore in the same period last year. Earnings from sale of electricity increased marginally by 7 per cent to Rs 14 crore against Rs 13 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
