Gujarat NRE Coke reports Rs 11-cr loss for June quarter

Gujarat NRE Coke Ltd posted a net loss of Rs 11 crore for the quarter ended June 30. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 39 crore during the same period last year. On account of the exceptional items following net foreign exchange loss, and diminution in the value of rupee as against dollar during the period, the company reported a net loss of Rs 11.02 crore in the current quarter, a company release said. It, however, registered 21 per cent growth in net sales at Rs 526 crore.
