Havells India Ltd is eyeing Rs 1,000-crore sales turnover from the fan division in the next two years with the launch of new models.

Anil Bhasin, senior vice-president, Havells India, said the fan division currently contributes around 15 per cent to the company’s overall revenues.

India’s organised fan market is currently pegged at Rs 4,500 crore and Havells current market share is close to 15 per cent, he said.

Bhasin, who was here in connection the launch of new models in the Kerala market, said that the company intends to increase the market share to 20 per cent in the current fiscal with the launch of these new models.

Havells entered the fans segment in 2003 and has emerged as one of the fastest growing brands in the fan category. The company is currently present in the premium and super premium categories.

At present, the company offers a choice of over 354 models of premium high performance and energy saving fans.

In Kerala, the company introduced éight new models under premium, sporty and energy saving category and the range is priced between Rs 2,250 and Rs 3,465.

Referring to Kerala market, he said the State has been instrumental and strategic in the company’s growth over the years.

Havells has a modern manufacturing plant for fans in Haridwar, Uttarakhand, with a manufacturing capacity of more than 5 million fans a year, he added.
