Electrical goods company Havells India Ltd has launched integrated automation and control solutions for domestic, commercial and public segments.
"We have launched a wide range of products with a technology tie-up with China-based HDL Automaton. We are importing the offerings but will think of indigenisation after demand picks up,’’ Vivek Yadav, Vice President, Havells India, told newspersons at a press conference held here on Friday.
The range is available under Havells’s premium brand, Crabtree. The automation solutions will allow individuals to control lights, appliances, monitor children and elderly people via mobile applications. For commercial and government sectors, automation provides convenience of operating street lights from a central location minimising manual intervention.
"With this launch, we are targeting to capture 10 per cent market share of automation solution industry and expect revenues of Rs 100 crore by 2020,’’ Yadav said. The size of automation solutions industry has been pegged at Rs 500 crore.
Havells India scrip gained 1.90 per cent on the Bombay Stock Exchange on Friday and was trading at Rs 342.50 at about 2.20 pm.
