Havells India Ltd today launched its monoblock pumps here.
Making a formal announcement, company’s Associate Director Rakesh Mehrotra said the energy efficient pumps would fulfil water related needs of domestic and commercial establishments in the country.
He said the pumps with 0.5 and 1 HP capacity were being launched in Lucknow and would soon be introduced in Delhi and other markets in north India.
The total market of pumps in the country was Rs 5,000 crore of which share of domestic pumps was Rs 2,500 crore.
Mehrotra said of this the share of monoblock pumps was Rs 1,000 crore and the Havells targetted to sell pumps worth Rs 100 crore this year.
Uttar Pradesh has 12 per cent share in the total sales of the company therefore market here was important for it, he said.
These monoblock pumps have been priced at Rs 4,500 and Rs 7,000, respectively.
