HBL Power Systems Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 55.19 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2013, as against a profit of Rs 1.99 crore for the corresponding period last year.
The company’s income from operations for the second quarter was Rs 300.68 crore as against Rs 319.79 crore for the same period last year.
In the second quarter, the company had exceptional income of Rs 62.18 crore and profit of Rs 37 lakh due to the sale of investment. It also had to contend with a foreign exchange loss of Rs 9.81 crore.
HBL Power disposed the entire stake held in Agile Electric Sub Assembly Pvt Ltd in the second quarter.
During the day, the company’s shares were down 3.81 per cent and trading at Rs 9.60 on the BSE.
