HBL Power Systems Ltd has posted a lower net profit of Rs 5.57 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2015 against Rs 8.70 crore it logged in the corresponding quarter last financial year.
The Hyderabad-based batteries maker registered lower income of Rs 313.09 crore during the second quarter against Rs 377.64 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
For the financial year ended March 31, 2015, the company had posted a net profit of Rs 14.62 crore and total income of Rs 1,330.07 crore.
The company shares closed at Rs 33.30, down 8.52 per cent on the BSE.
