Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) has bagged a Rs 162-crore order to develop a railway tunnel at Imphal, Manipur.
The contract was awarded by the North Frontier Railway.
The 3.3-km tunnel project, in joint venture with HCC as 60 per cent lead partner, is scheduled for completion in 28 months.
HCC said this was the third order from NF Railway. In 2010, the company was awarded two contracts worth about Rs 510 crore for construction of two tunnels.
