Power management company Eaton has tied up with Digilife Distribution and Marketing Services (DDMS), a 100 per cent subsidiary of HCL Infosystems.
Eaton is a global power management company with 2013 sales of $22 billion. The company’s products are sold in over 175 countries.
The partnership is to expand the market presence of Eaton’s electrical power back-up solutions through HCL’s distribution and retail infrastructure in the country.
Eaton said HCL Infosystems’ sales and distribution network reaches more than 100,000 retail outlets, over 800 direct and micro distributors and over 12,400 channel partners across 15,000 towns and 664 districts in the country.
With this tie-up, Eaton’s uninterruptible power systems (UPS), ranging from 600VA up to 40kVA, will now be available through HCL Infosystems’ distribution and retail network.
“Eaton’s alliance with HCL Infosystems will help us expand our partner community and help maximise our market share,” said Syed Sajjadh Ali, Managing Director-India, Electrical Sector, Eaton.
Bimal Das, Joint-President, Enterprise Products Distribution, HCL Infosystems Ltd, said, “We see a great opportunity to create value by leveraging our distribution footprint across the country. We are committed to achieve our targets by extending our value chain efficiency to Eaton.”
