United Breweries Ltd (UBL) today said Heineken has nominated Henricus Petrus van Zon as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the company with effect from January 1, 2013.
Besides, van Zon will be appointed to the board of the company in due course, UBL said in a filing to the BSE.
He would be replacing Guido de Boer, Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer, who will be transferred by Heineken to a next assignment, it added.
de Boer, who had been in UBL for more than three years with UBL, will step down as Chief Financial Officer on December 31, 2012 and retire as a director during the next board meeting, the company said.
“Henricus Petrus van Zon has been nominated by Heineken as his replacement as Chief Financial Officer effective January 1, 2013, and will be appointed to the board of the company in due course, it added.
Heineken had indirectly acquired a 37.5 per cent stake in UBL following its worldwide takeover of Scottish & Newcastle (S&N) in January, 2008.
