Following the Supreme Court ban order on sale and registration of BS-III vehicles from April 1, the company dealers who have stocks piled up in their dealerships and godowns are offering discounts of up to Rs 12,500 crore plus free insurance.
Those on the verge of buying or planning to buy soon a two-wheeler, may find this discount offer attractive as it works out to savings of close to 20-25 per cent.
However, this offer is valid up to March 31, 2017 or till stocks last.
Through a full page advertisement, Hero has advertised that its scooter range of Duet and Maestro and motorcycles, Splendour and Glamour are being extended this offer.
According to available information, vehicles worth over Rs 12,000 crore now with either dealerships and various manufacturers are now facing the brunt of the apex court order.
From April 1, when manufactures can only sell BS IV norm vehicles, the dealers will not be able to liquidate the existing stock piled up with them.
