Two-wheelers major Hero MotoCorp has juggled its senior level positions, giving new roles without much difference in their pay packets. This change has been brought into effect from Monday.

“With growing market in Central America and Africa and focus on Latin America, separate heads for each market had to be created under the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Pawan Munjal,” a company official requesting anonymity told Business Line .

The company now has decided to nominate one person for each vertical. There is no new hiring and the company has designated all these officials who have been with Hero MotorCorp (erstwhile Hero Honda) for the last several years.

With the company setting up its Global Parts Centre (GPC) at Neemrana, it has decided that Sanjay Bhan will head it, directly reporting to the MD and CEO. Bhan was earlier Head – Marketing, reporting to Anil Dua, Senior Vice-President -- Marketing and Sales.

Deepak Mokashi, who was earlier National Sales Head and Exports is been ranked Head of International Business. He will also now report directly to Munjal.

His position now goes to A. Srinivasu, who was earlier Head of South Zone. Based out of Bangalore in his previous role, he will now sit in Hero MotoCorp’s head office in New Delhi.

Similarly, Sanjeev Shukla (taking care of rural markets earlier) is been promoted as the Head of National Marketing to look after research, media and other marketing activities. Both Srinivasu and Shukla will report to Dua now.

Parag Agarwal, who was earlier part of the branding and communications as part of the marketing team, will now head the international marketing, looking after all the branding activities of the company globally.

New zone

He will be reporting to Deepak Mokashi. Sources close to the developments also said that a new zone is been created – Central zone – which is the fifth zone after four zones earlier (East, West, North and South).

However, when contacted the company’s spokesperson denied to comment saying ‘it is an internal matter’ and therefore, could not provide any details.

Shares of Hero MotoCorp closed at Rs 1,853.45 on the BSE on Monday, up 3.16 per cent from the previous close.
