Bangalore-based Hind High Vacuum (HHV) today said it has bagged a Rs 40-crore contract from Valeo, French lighting systems product group, for supply of vacuum metalising systems used in making headlamps for automobiles.
HHV has already supplied three systems to Valeo India and more are in the offing for the current year for Valeo’s various production units in China and Europe, a release said.
HHV, a multi-technology group of companies involved in the design, development and manufacture of equipment and products in the field of vacuum technology, solar photovoltaic energy and thin films, is the only manufacturer of such sophisticated systems in India.
Valeo is among the world’s top vendors of components, integrated systems and modules for the automotive industry.
