Outsourcing firm Hinduja Global Solutions (HGS) on Monday said it will hire about 2,000 people in the next fiscal to ramp up its headcount to 22,000. The company currently has close to 20,000 employees.
“We are looking at expanding our headcount. We will add close to 2,000 people in India and for our other offices,” HGS CEO Mr Partha Sarkar told PTI.
HGS provides outsourcing solutions to over 80 clients through its 45 delivery centres in India, the US, UK and Philippines.
It serves industries like insurance, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, life sciences, banking and financial services, consumer electronics/products, government, media and entertainment, energy and utilities, transportation and logistics.
The voice-focused BPO is eyeing the acquisitions path to growth, Mr Sarkar said.
“We are looking at acquisitions in the range of $ 50-100 million in companies that come within the range of our competency,” he said.
HGS reported consolidated revenue of Rs 286.99 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2010, while its revenue for the year ended March 31, 2010 stood at Rs 892.34 crore.
