Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt Ltd, the bottling arm of Coca-Cola India, will invest ₹750 crore in a phased manner to build a bottling plant in Madhya Pradesh.
The company on Wednesday announced the ground-breaking for a state-of-the-art plant in Hoshangabad in the State spread across 110 acres.
The company said that the facility would house multiple bottling lines to produce carbonated beverages such as Coca-Cola, Sprite, Fanta, Thums Up, Limca, juice-based drinks such as Minute Maid and Maaza, packaged water and soda – Kinley. In a statement, T Krishnakumar, Chairman & CEO, Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages & Region Director-South Asia, said: “This brings to life the commitment outlined in the MoU signed at the Global Investor Summit in 2014.
“Our investment trajectory is very much in line with India’s long-term growth strategy of building sustainable and long-term businesses”.
MP Industry Minister Rajendra Shukla laid the foundation of the new bottling plant which is being built after HCCB received possession of 110 acres from AKVN, Babai Industria area at Hoshangabad.
