Ahmedabad-based furniture-maker HOF Furniture Systems Pvt Ltd is looking to expand its presence in the eastern region of the country.
According to Pravin H Patel, Chairman, the company would look to use Kolkata as a hub not just to tap the market in the eastern region; but also to export offerings to the neighbouring country of Bangladesh.
“We look to leverage the city as a gateway not just for access to other eastern region states like Odisha or Chattisgarh but also for export to Bangladesh,” he said during a media conference.
Patel was in the city for the launch of the first “HOF Zone”, its standalone outlet in the city and in the eastern region.
Kolkata-based Steelco Furniture Pvt Ltd is the sole distributor for HOF Furniture in the eastern region and Bangladesh.
According to Patel, the company will explore the setting up of another two to three stores here in the city. This will be followed-up with stores in Raipur, Bhubaneshwar, Ranchi and Guwahati.
